Through November I am going to have this page on the Front as a reminder to vote against SB5, now Issue 2 which is a bill that the right wing politicians in Ohio and across the country are using as tools to reduce the rights of ALL workers. Not a Union supporter? Think this doesn't affect you, wait, it's coming to the private sector, Union and non-union both real soon!

Think SB5 is about the budget and will save you money? It is NOT, and don't believe the lies your taxes are going to go down if it passes!

The financial costs personally in SB5 are nothing that couldn't have been negotiated in good faith with the Unions but this bill goes Way beyond just money as is the case with all of the other state bills attacking Union bargaining.

It is about the Republican party not being satisfied until this country has one party rule, If you think otherwise, do some research into those States with similar legislation pending or passed and there is ONE common thread: all of these States have Republican legislatures AND Republican Governors. Then tell me it is not a concerted effort to gain more power starting with reducing the influence of Unions.

Limiting Union support for Democrats, which are a primary source of funds for Democrats, I get that. But as has been seen back in the Bush and now the Obama presidencies, this country works best when no one party is in power and that politicians actually have to negotiate about what is good not for them but what is good for the taxpayers. Checks and Balances only works when two political Parties are held to negotiate their differences, not steamroll an agenda.

I am suggesting you get involved, pay attention to what is going on now in Ohio Governemnt and whether or not you agree with SB5 I ask you sign th epetition, and let the voters cedice!

My hobbies vary from collecting old radios, working on and with computers, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
